Role of the Data Protection Officer

Did you know that, under the General Data Protection Regulation, your organization’s Data Protection Officer is responsible for “awareness-raising and training of staff involved in processing operations, and the related audits” and “appropriate data protection training to personnel having permanent or regular access to personal data”?

Your Data Protection Officer can be an employee or an external consultant. However, the DPO cannot hold a position that requires them to decide on the means and purposes of data processing, such positions include, for example, senior management and heads or marketing, HR and IT. We can do your data protection audit and then be your DPO.
